Buy the Truth and Sell it Not.
Proverbs 23:23

What is Christianity?

"So, what is Christianity?" said the Christian to the Skeptic.

"What is Christianity? That's easy" said the Skeptic. "Christianity is a religion, and being a religion it is a belief system. Those who utilize this belief system claim to benefit from it. It gives them a kind of peace; it gives them assurance that they are not alone and that there is a purpose to their existence. As long as they believe it, it helps them. It provides a moral structure to their lives and perhaps most of all it gives them the hope of heaven after they die. And Christianity is a social religion so it calls for church going and meetings and Bible readings and provides social fulfillment. As long as you continue to believe it, it can be helpful. Christianity is a good thing. But it's just not my thing. Of course, there may be more to it, but I think I probably covered the big picture. Do you have anything to add?"

"Nothing to add." Said the Christian. "But that is not Christianity."

"No?" Said the Skeptic. "Then tell me, what is Christianity?"

"Christianity is knowing God." said the Christian.

"Ha! How do you even know that God even exists?"

"He makes Himself known to you."

"So it's not something you believe ?"

"No. Christianity is something that you try."

"So, what do you do if you want to try it?"

"It's simple really. The first thing you do is trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin."

"Tried that. Nothing happened."

"The second thing you do is obey His Word. When you do, God will disclose Himself to you according to the sincerity and depth of your commitment. Check it out in John 14:21."

"So what about all the eternal life stuff?"

"Look at John 17:3:"

"This is eternal life that they may know You, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."

"So it's about knowing God?"

"Right. It's all about knowing God. You could never know for certain that it is real without actually knowing God."

What Do you Believe If You Believe in Evolution?

This revision dated January 29, 2020: If You Believe in Evolution

See our Youtube video on creationism: If you believe in evolution...

This is a straightforward easy to understand refutation of evolution.

Did God really create you or are you the product of millions of unobserved extremely fortunate accidental mutations?

Recent discoveries have uncovered a complexity in life that could never be explained by accidental mutations and survival rates (evolution).

So, what is the evidence against evolution? Incomprehensible complexity. This work provides a quick and easy read of some examples that could never have evolved.

Believe in God-But How?

Believe in God Video 1: Knowing God a scriptural how-to-know-God video that addresses two relational sins that prevent many from knowing Him. See it on youtube: Knowing God

This very brief booklet answers the question "How can I believe in God when I can't see Him?" Answer: You can't -- unless God makes Himself known to you and He does. This booklet shows how to know Him for yourself.

If anyone trusts in Christ and yields to His scriptural commands, God will make Himself known to that person and that person will come to know God in no uncertain terms. Knowing God is not a "religion;" it is a life long experience. Religion is, or should be, the external evidence of the internal experience of knowing Him.

Fate of Unbelievers (the book)

God does not resurrect all unbelievers and burn them in hell for the rest of eternity. That is a Catholic myth. The final punishment for sin is death, exactly as Paul states, not eternal torment: "The wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23).

Certainly, there are scriptures that are said to support the doctrine of eternal torment, but they do not. This book addresses those scriptures. This book also addresses the 50 other scriptures that teach eternal death as the final end of those who reject Christ.

Jesus never mentioned eternal torment. The entire Bible mentions eternal torment only once and that is in reference to Satan, the antichrist and the false prophet and no one else. Scripture never mentions eternal torment for the unredeemed. Check your concordance.

Understanding proper biblical doctrine in this area is extremely important because the doctrinal error of eternal torment has adverse effects on other doctrines (see Appendix 7).

This book is in a discussion (question and answer) format with comments in a treatise format (explanatory and expository) with extensive references in both the Greek and the Hebrew.

The electronic version of this book includes a comprehensive navigation system making it easy to move around the book and never lose your place. Just click on the contents on the side of each page.

The book is an excellent resource no matter which side of the question you may happen to be. Why would God, who is love (First John 4:8) burn people alive for eternity if they don't come to Christ? Why would He do that? There are 50 scriptures that say that He does not.

Each of those scriptures are listed and discussed in Appendix 1 of the book.

Comfort in Theology

This is a pamplet written to Christians who are reaching the end of mortal life. It provides scriptural comfort by addressing Christ's promise of eternal life and showing how that promise is consistent with the end of this life.

It answers the question, "I am dying! What did Jesus mean when he said that I will live forever?"

This pamplet shows why John 11:25 is wholly credible and consistent with other scripture: "He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies. And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die."

Endless Love

Saving a Marriage Part 1: Saving a Marriage Part 1 discusses scriptures that teach us how to regain lost love: Saving a Marriage Part 1

Saving a Marriage Part 2: Saving a Marriage Part 2 discusses scriptures that teach us how to regain lost love: Saving a Marriage Part 2

Click to download a copy of the book: Endless Love

This book was written to facilitate the restoration of human love and the preservation of marriage and family.

The answer to marital discord is not a method. The answer to marital discord is love. Real actual, experiential human love. There is only one place to get true love and its not you. It never was you. Remember?

We can't create love and we can't fake it. And when it does come we can hardly control it. It is outside of ourselves and it is not physical. But where did it come from and what made it go away?

The Creator created love. He is love (First John 4:8 "God is Love"). Love does not naturally die or naturally go away. God did not create the family to rest upon the whim of an emotion that dies when the honeymoon is over.

But let's be honest, everyone knows we can't just restore lost love because we want to. It would take a miracle.

That miracle is what this book is about. So, let's be clear from the first, we are talking serious, actual miracle here, miracle that you can see and experience. But it's not free. The price of the miracle is obedience.

If you are ready to obey Him, then read this book. If not, then come back when you are; this book is not for you.

This is a short book written for Christians who are facing adversity and do not understand why. A Reason for Adversity looks at scripture to see how scripture answers to the age-old question of why God permits pain and adversity. This work also addresses the avoidance of adversity through obedience to scripture.

Time can blunt the sting of emotional pain, but understanding where it fits can put it to rest.

Our lifetime on this earth is blink in eternity, but who we are as a result of it never ends.

Call to Action

This pamphlet was written by Caroline Chesnutt, RN/BSN.

Call to Action is a compelling pamphlet against the laws that permit the killing of the unborn. In the case of Rochin v California, 342 US 165 (1952) the United States Supreme Court addressed the issue of due process of law. Due process is a constitutional right of all citizens to be protected from the loss of life, liberty and property without due process of law. In that case the Supreme Court imposed a test to help determine whether a state law violated due process. That test was whether the state law "shocked the conscience of the Court." Twenty one years later in Roe v Wade, the same court ruled that mother's right to privacy gives her the right to kill her unborn child summarily without affording any due process of law to the child, even if the child is wholly viable and ready to be born. Since then, no less than 61,368,572 unborn American children have been killed. Assuming an average of $800 per abortion (without discounts), that is in excess of $1 billion per year in gross income for abortionists. The abortion business is industrialized murder and it is sin.

This controversial work is a condensation of the book of the same name (above). It examines the scriptures relating to the eternal fate of unbelievers and shows that there is no basis in scripture for the doctrine that all of the unredeemed will be tortured for the rest of eternity.

This condensed booklet is available in an electronic pamphlet version for Nook and other Barnes & Noble on Amazon.
